There are sources for growth, challenge, and opportunity in everything we see, do, and experience. Even in our down time, we are constantly learning and we apply these life lessons to our company, our classrooms, and our lives.
Take a simple game of Solitaire. Here's what our founder, Erica Brandl, discovered while playing one day:
1. You will make simple mistakes. That's just LIFE!
2. Take time to learn from those mistakes.
3. Remember - you can always start again.
4. There is always a solution that you aren't seeing.
5. You need to see the full picture to fully understand the impact of your actions and decisions.
6. Sometimes the things you planned don't work in your favour.
7. Other times, it's the things that you didn't plan that do!
8. Sometimes, you're just "on". Other times you won't have a clue. Take a chance and see what happens!
9. It's not always about going for the aces. Sometimes smaller wins will get you further.
10. You might have to change things around in order to move forward. If you're not willing to change, you won't move at all.
